The second season of Warzone 2 Reloaded has changed the meta significantly, as noted by renowned CoD expert Metaphor. He has identified a particular SMG that has become a highly viable weapon since the update.
The launch of Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded brought a number of changes to the meta of the game. Players now have access to the Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle, as well as a number of buffs and nerfs to the existing arsenal of weapons.
The SMG class of weapons in Warzone 2 has received a number of tweaks and rebalancing, yet the Lachmann Submachine Gun and Vaznev-9k have still been the preferred choices for skirmishes in tight spaces.
Metaphor, a Warzone 2 specialist, identified a loadout that got a mid-season upgrade but thinks it has been overlooked by many players.
Metaphor asserted in his March 23 video that the MX9 could become a prime SMG choice in the second Reloaded Season. As per WZ Ranked, the gun has a pick rate of 0.3%, however, it has been granted a boost to its damage range in the most recent patch.
He articulated that a lot of SMGs in Warzone 2 are equivalent in power, but with the appropriate blend of attachments, the MX9 can become an unstoppable “no recoil” weapon with an astounding time-to-kill.
In the video, Metaphor commented that the thing they were discussing was “nasty”, as it remained unmoving when fired upon. To see Metaphor’s best MX9 loadout in Warzone 2, check out the video below.
Optimal MX9 Loadout
- Muzzle: FTAC Castle Compensator
- Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Handle
- Comb: FTAC C11 Stock
- Magazine : 32-Round Capacity
- Ammunition: 9mm Subsonic Rounds
Metaphor started his top MX9 build with the FTAC Castle Comp muzzle in order to decrease the SMG’s horizontal and vertical recoil, thus maintaining its accuracy in middle-range gunfights. He then further improved the weapon’s stats by attaching the Bruen Q900 Grip and FTAC C11 Riser to give it a quicker ADS and sprint-to-fire rate.
For Squads matches, the 32-Round Mag was essential to take on multiple opponents without the need to reload. In addition, he loaded the gun with 9mm Sub OP ammunition to cause flinch when making contact with the enemy, which would give him a window of opportunity.
The MX9 has been having a hard time catching on in Warzone 2, however, if you use the setup we recommend, the gun may experience a comeback as we approach Season 3.
